Insider Guide: Pfw Tips from L’officiel Paris Social Editor Sabina Socol

Words by Jody Hume | 9.25.16
We’re kind of obsessed with Sabina Socol’s Instagram, which makes sense considering she’s the Social Editor for L’Officiel Paris. From chic interiors to even chicer outfits, Socol’s feed is a visual diary of the proverbial and ever-coveted French Girl Style (she’s even got the Jane Birkin basket to prove it). So who better to give us the low-down on the best spots in Paris for fashion week? Read on to discover where to stay, the most quintessential Parisian cafe, plus real talk about how PFW is different from New York, London or Milan.
How do you plan your fashion week looks?
I’m not a big planner. I usually try a bunch of statement pieces and just finish by wearing my go-to classic stuff (501 jeans, a pair of Valentino heels and a vintage blouse).
Best hotel if you’re flying in?
Hotel Providence is really nice, well decorated and the restaurant is great.
Sabina Socol Paris Fashion Week GuideBest place to grab a drink after the shows?
The most typical little Parisian bistro: Les Deux Amis in the 11e arrondissement (Oberkampf area).
What makes Paris Fashion Week distinct from fashion week in NYC, Milan or London?
Paris is more low key and maybe also a little bit more snobbish.
What’s the one thing everyone should pack for Paris fashion week?
A red lipstick!
Which Paris show is your favorite to see every year?
The Chanel show!
During the shows are you Instagramming, Snapchatting or living in the moment?
I’m addicted to social media and not ashamed to say it, so I Instagram and Snapchat more than ever. Also, it’s part of my job.
