Kamali has been a force in American fashion for over half a century and is known for her innovative designs. Her Diana dress (worn by Sarah Jessica Parker on the Sex and the City reboot) has been a favorite since the ‘70s and her iconic Sleeping Bag Coat has timeless appeal. Kamali’s latest focus is on aging with power which she tackles in her book I Am Invincible, available at TRR.
Julie Wainwright founded The RealReal with the goal to extend the life cycle of luxury and to create a more sustainable fashion industry. As of March 31, 2022, with the help of shoppers and consignors, TRR has saved 52,767 metric tons of carbon dioxide (equivalent to the amount of CO2 absorbed by 8.8 million trees in one year) and saved 2.8 billion liters of water (the equivalent volume of 12 billion 8oz glasses of water).
