Steinem is an acclaimed feminist journalist and activist who was a leader of the American women’s rights movement in the 19070s. She went on to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama in 2013. Julie Wainwright founded The RealReal with the goal to extend the life cycle of luxury and to create a more sustainable fashion industry. Eleven years later, TRR is still women-led, with 66% female employees.
