Self described “luxury remixer” and DIY disrupter Ava Nirui has left her mark on fashion brands like Marc Jacobs (see her cheeky Mark Jacobes “bootleg” hoodie) and Helmut Lang (where she conceived viral social media campaigns like Women of Wales and Love@HelmutLang Personals Ads). Her personal style is, naturally, equal parts reverent and irreverent. Here is how the logo hacker, who travels IG under the handle @avanope, keeps things Real.

What’s the greatest thing about buying consignment? Knowing that you are investing in products which aren’t further harming/damaging the environment.
Is there a certain brand/collection that you’re currently coveting/looking for? I do love that AW ‘07 CDG glove dress, and I feel like I’ve been keeping an eye out for it for ages. I also regret not buying the CDG x Lewis Leathers “live free” jacket when I saw it in a store a few years ago.
What’s your most exciting consignment find? Too many to pick from.
Have consignment sites like The RealReal changed the way you think about/approach shopping/dressing? If so, how? Definitely. Buying vintage has become a more exciting and cost-effective experience for me. I rarely purchase apparel from retail stores now.
