Lisa Myers is The RealReal’s Senior Luxury Manager in NYC. Originally from Boca Raton, Florida and enmeshed in the East Coast surf scene by way of her fiancé, Lisa effortlessly melds the elements of relaxed, beachy style with city-ready staples, and her favorite spots in the city reflect this eclectic mix. Read on to find out the only place to be for Fashion Week, where to go for cityside sailing and more.
What brought you to NYC?
I moved from Boca Raton, Florida six years ago to go to college. I instantly fell in love! I’ve always been a motivated person, but being around so many people that only want to succeed and be the best of the best is so encouraging. Living in New York makes you never want to slow down; it’s either you get it or you don’t.

What neighborhood do you live in? How long have you lived here?
I live just over the bridge in Williamsburg, Brooklyn with my fiancé. I’ve lived here for about four years and would never move back to the city. It’s good to have that balance between work life and personal.
What’s your NYC weekend uniform?
My NYC uniform will always be a T-shirt, blazer and jeans. There is something so intriguing about a woman who can look confident and strong in something so simple.
Best place to go during Fashion Week?
The It place to be is Milk Made at Milk Studios during Fashion Week. This has got to be the most fun place to be during the week. Jenne Lombardo (co-founder of Milk Fashion Week) knows how to throw a party! Milk Made has given a platform to designers like Rodarte, Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler. Let me re-word that, Milk Made is the ONLY place to be during Fashion Week!

Your favorite coffee or tea shop in the city?
Saturdays Surf Shop is my favorite place to get coffee. Even if you’re not into surfing, the atmosphere and the people that work there are extremely inviting.

Where’s the best local getaway?
My favorite getaway in the city is the North Cove Marina. My fiancé and I just recently bought a little dinghy sailboat, and this is my way to feel like I’m in Montauk sailing. It’s a great place to clear your head, smell the fresh salt air and watch the Manhattan Sailing School take all of their fleet. If you need your ocean fix, this is the closest thing to it!

Who serves the best cocktail in the city?
Best cocktail in the city is the Soho Grand — the atmosphere is key! Whether you’re going for a quick meeting or a drink with friends, it has everything.

Do you have a go-to salon or beauty destination?
Tenoverten is the best nail salon in the city, and believe me, I’ve been to A LOT. The staff makes you feel relaxed and not rushed to get out. They want to you have an actual experience, and take a minute to enjoy your time there. It’s easy to do that with their comfy chairs and built-in iPads to browse the internet instead of flipping through a magazine.

Is there a place you recommend to all your clients?
The store Love Adorned. They have two stores, one in SoHo and one in Amagansett. I recommend this store to every single one of my clients, no matter what their taste is. Love Adorned is almost indescribable. You can get lost in the store for hours just looking at all of the beautiful jewelry, home decor and beauty products. It’s my go-to place to get a gift for someone — every item is picked and placed in the store with such thought. From precious stone jewelry to unique one-of-a-kind objects, whatever kind of gift you’re looking for, they have it. Even if you don’t actually need that item for any reason at all…you’ll buy it!
