The Jewelry Pieces Our Editors Never Take off
Many people, whether they’re into fashion or not, have a uniform. It makes life simpler, keeps you from making regretful forays into trends you know really don’t suit you and reflects a confidence in your own personal style. But what about a jewelry uniform? Aside from wedding and engagement rings, which are meant to be worn forever for symbolic and not just style reasons, the choice to make a piece part of your daily rotation says as much about your style as your go-to jeans/blazer/heel combo. We were curious, so we asked around the office to see which pieces our editors are so into they never take them off. Read on to see them and get inspired to shop for your own forever piece.
I pretty much wear my Tiffany T ring 24/7. It’s simple enough to go with the rest of my thin gold jewelry, plus, it’s my initial! — Toni Lessler Mills, Fashion Editor & Writer

The one piece I never take off is my vintage Gucci watch that I got a few years ago at a secondhand store on the East Coast. This model came out in the 80’s, so I was thrilled when I found it sitting by itself on a dusty shelf. I was even more excited when I got the battery replaced and found out that it works! I love it because it’s really feminine and sleek and I can stack it on with other pieces. — Lindsey Taft, Associate Merchandising Manager, Fine Jewelry & Watches

I don’t even wear jewelry except for this Cartier Trinity ring, so it’s kind of like a second skin piece, and I never take it off. I bought it on the site and it’s actually opened up my mind to other jewelry pieces. Now I’m lusting after several other Cartier pieces like the Trinity earrings and necklace — I’d love to keep adding to my collection. — Sasha Skoda, Women’s Category Director

I got this necklace from my grandmother last year for my Birthday. I love the simple bar shape and how the chain on the bottom still gives it some movement. It adds an understated but modern element to my outfits so I just haven’t been able to take it off. — Marissa Benedetto, Lead Creative Stylist
