HOW TO WEAR SPRING 2016’S BIGGEST TRENDS (+ THE CLASSICS)

SHOP THE LOOKBOOK
There’s nothing like that first day of spring when you don’t need to wear a coat to work. While temps may still have yet to rise to that level in some places, thinking ahead on the subject of your spring wardrobe strategy is never a bad idea. Not only are you well-prepared on that first glorious day with a floaty dress and sandals to put a spring in your step, outfit fantasizing can kill the winter doldrums in the meantime. So we’ve put together our latest lookbook, Spring In Mind, with just that kind of forethought. “I focused on making springs trends wearable,” says Stylist Molly Thompson. “It’s much more feasible to wear a shiny top with slouchy sequin shorts during day than a sequin dress like on the runway.” Whichever spring trend you have your eye on — ruffles, off-the-shoulder-tops, pajama dressing, the list goes on — these looks have them all. But in addition to feeling totally of-the-moment, they’re also imbued with timelessness. “Another focus was building a quintessentially spring wardrobe by sticking with classics like stripes and florals,” Thompson says. Of this season’s pointed-toe, buckle strap Céline mules worn throughout, Thompson says she, “loved capping off [the looks] with a shoe that feels nonchalant and casual while also making a statement.”
