Los Angeles Luxury Manager for The RealReal Hannah Soboroff is our go-to source for Southern California’s chicest spots. From Beverly Hills to the beaches of Malibu, the LA native has shared her favorite places to shop, eat, and get away for the weekend. Read on to find out where to go, and get inspired by her LA uniform.
Did you grow up in Los Angeles? What is the best part about living here?
Born & raised in LA. With the weather being close to perfect all year long, it makes it so easy to get outdoors. It’s awesome to be able to go for a hike in the mountains then drive down to the beach. I’m a California girl all the way!
What neighborhood do you live in?
I live on a quiet little street in Beverly Hills, and it’s walking distance from all the shops, restaurants, salons etc. Living in LA I spend a lot of time in my car, so it’s a luxury to be able to walk into town to grab a bite to eat (or for some retail therapy!).

What’s your LA weekend uniform?
Jeans, t-shirts & flats, or anything Jenni Kayne or Band of Outsiders.

Your favorite coffee or tea shop in the city?
Farmshop for coffee, tea & fresh pastries! It’s located in The Brentwood Country Mart, which is one of my favorite spots in LA. They have tons of little shops — my favorites being Jenni Kayne & Sweet Rose Creamery (for the most delicious homemade ice cream).
Favorite beach?
I like to head out to Malibu for a beach day. The drive on PCH is beautiful, and there’s some great shopping & restaurants along the way.
Where’s the best LA getaway?
Palm Springs! It’s a two hour drive from LA, it’s always sunny, the streets are lined with palm trees & bougainvillea, and no one is in a rush to get anywhere (besides the pool!). Perfection.

Who serves the best cocktail in the city?
I’m not a big drinker, but I do enjoy walking to the Peninsula Hotel and having a glass of wine at The Roof Garden. A nice vibe & great view.

Do you have a go-to salon or beauty destination?
Olive & June for nails. It’s the chicest (and cleanest!) salon you’ll ever find. The mani / pedis are affordable, and the polish wall is a work of art! The whole experience is just downright lovely. I also love SHIN for hair, and J’ai Lone for facials.

Is there a place you recommend to all your clients?
I always tell people to check out the Clare Vivier store in Silverlake. The store is beautiful, and her clutches & accessories make the best gifts. Another great gifting idea is Valleybrink Road’s custom gift boxes. The wooden gift boxes are filled with flowers, jams, chocolates, wine etc. They’re stunning & perfect for any occasion!

Where do you recommend your clients take items that don’t get accepted for consignment?
For the items that don’t get accepted for consignment, I will usually recommend other local consignment stores for them to try out. If they are interested in donating, I suggest Goodwill.
