Boston City Guide

What brought you to Boston?
I immediately fell in love with the city following a visit after graduating college.  There is a wonderful pace and energy in Boston that represents its history but also the rapid growth that is taking place.  It is also a city with many different and interesting neighborhoods that are easily accessible and offer residents and visitors a diverse and exciting experience.
What neighborhood do you live in? How long have you lived here?
I have lived in the Back Bay for six years. The best area to live in, I think!
What’s your Boston weekend uniform?
My weekend uniform is typically leather leggings or ripped jeans and a black blouse with a blazer. I’m currently crushing on my Veronica Beard classic blazer! I pair it with a Valentino Rockstud or Charlotte Olympia flat for day and a classic pump for evening. My mom always told me to look effortlessly chic!

Your favorite coffee or tea shop in the city?
My favorite coffee shop is Café Vittoria in the North End. It opened in 1929 in the “Little Italy” area in Boston and you can really feel the history of the place. It’s always bustling and full of locals and people visiting the city. The coffee is fantastic but it also serves arguably the best cannolis and tiramisu in Boston.

Where’s the best local getaway?
There are a couple local getaways that I absolutely love.  The first is an island off of Cape Cod called Nantucket. It is truly a magical place where you feel like you have been transported to a faraway land or small town in Europe despite being only 30 miles from the mainland.  Another is walking in the Boston Common or along the Charles – you never know you might even see Gisele! Lastly, the spa at The Mandarin Oriental is heavenly and for a good workout Bar Method!
Who serves the best cocktail in the city?
I love the cocktails at the Bristol Lounge at the Four Seasons.  Not only are the drinks fantastic, but the room is extremely cozy yet full of energy and it has a great view of the Boston Common.

Do you have a go-to salon or beauty destination?
Camille at Mizu is amazing for blow-drys. She is my go-to girl.
Is there a place you recommend to all your clients?
CRU Nantucket restaurant. A lot of my clients spend time in Nantucket during the summer and ask about the best restaurant. CRU for sure!

Where do you donate items that don’t get accepted for consignment?
I always recommend alternative local consignment options for designers we do not accept. If a client wants to donate to a charity, I recommend Planet Aid.
